BASCA,Inc.   

BASCA was started in 1994 by parents in the Jacksonville area who were concerned about a quality life in their community for their children with developmental disabilities.  Concerns that included education, social interaction, potential independance, and long term care as their children became adults.  These parents realized that they could help themselves and ultimately others by being a unified voice and pulling together to search out or create these opportunities. 

BASCA, Inc. was incorporated on May 25 1995, as a 501(c)3 organization.  Since that time, BASCA has grown into a multi-faceted organization whose mission is to  provide better living, working, educational, social and recreational opportunites for children and adults with special needs.
