Camps
BASCA partners with several camps for individuals with developmental disabilities. Most of these opportunities are provided in the summer months. One camp is a weekend camp in the early fall or late spring. All camps are residential.
Summer Camps
These camps are offered in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine. All camps are located at Camp St. John in Switzerland, Florida. These camps all have volunteer buddies to supervise campers at all times and ensure safety.
Camp Promise
Offered four times each summer, Camp Promise is for campers aged 14-30. All campers have a 1:1 buddy.
Camp Care
This camp has only one offering each summer. Camp Care is for individuals with profound disabilities, regardless of age. There are two buddies assigned to each camper.
Camp Facilities
Camp St. John offered a wide variety of activities, included in the cost of camp. Campers will enjoy cabin living with opportunities for boating, fishing, swimming, pony rides, magic shows, arts & crafts, music and lots more. What a fun week away from home!
Weekend Camp
Camp Agape
This long weekend camp is offered in May through a partnership with Special Gatherings. Campers are aged 30 and up. Camp Agape is located in Vero Beach, Florida. There are no buddies, allowing campers a sense of independence. Camp Agape is staffed overnight in case of emergencies.
Camp Facilities
Camp Agape has many exciting activities available to all campers. These include: Go-carts, putt-putt, basketball, fishing, arts & crafts, lake swimming, a pool with waterslides, boating,a petting zoo, and a game room. The camp has a praise & worship service daily and Bible study classes on Sunday morning.
